About the Event
Please join our local community and leading organizations, Story of Stuff, the Save Our Forest Association, the San Bernardino Mountains Group of the Sierra Club, and the San Bernardino Valley Audubon Society, in celebrating the recent decision by the CA State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) to enforce a Cease & Desist Order stopping water diversions from the San Bernardino National Forest by Nestle/BlueTriton Brands.
This unanimous decision by the SWRCB creates a unique opportunity to restore Strawberry Creek and the Strawberry Canyon Ecosystem. Our vision is to form a Coalition to Restore Strawberry Creek which will work with the US Forest Service and other stakeholders in “letting the water flow” once again and re-wild this former riparian habitat.
We will be gathering at the Arboretum, approx 1/2 mi east of SkyPark, Skyforest, north side of Hwy 18, from 11-1 pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023, to celebrate the decision and renew our community’s commitment to the protection of the natural resources on our Forest.
Refreshments will be available and seating provided. We look forward to have you join us !
